The objective is to develop a new Multi-Year Accessibility Plan (2024-2030) for Ottawa U Facilities that utilizes the guiding principles of inclusion, adaptability, diversity, collaboration, self determination, and universal design. The scope of the plan includes physical assets, buildings and facilities, open space network, wayfinding and mobility.

As part of a nationwide project presented at the Venice Bi-annual architecture conference, CP Planning, SOCA architecture and Keel Residents Association, we proposed that government take reparative actions to address government-led losses in housing affordability. This project focused on little Jamaica, Toronto however is applicable to neighbourhoods across Canada with similar patterns.

We're coordinating processes with a deep focus on developing policies, programs, and partnerships that safeguarding and creating housing that is affordable for renters, particularly those at risk of displacement due to the privatization of profits from public investment in transit.

Supported the client manage collaboration and engagements with with the governments, contractors, and various subconsultants to deliver 35 self-contained units of permanent affordable housing. This project was made possible with funding provide by Ontario's Hoem for Good Supportive Housing Program, the Housing Secretiat, Toronto Community Housing, and the Canadian Housing Corproation. Common areas and on site amenities, as well as state-of-the art facility offer 24 hr care to support women's recovery journey.

Information collected through the co-design and co-delivery of public and interdivisional engagement sessions guided the update of the City of Toronto's Poverty Reduction Strategy. Our collaborative efforts were instrumental in identifying key priorities of stakeholders committed to poverty reduction. The insights gathered were synthesized into a comprehensive 'What We Heard' report and an actionable Communications Plan.

An outgrowth and response to community engagement and requests during the Black Futures on Eglinton project. This program includes empowers community-led planning to ensure tenants have an active voice in the planning process, and receive support to address their immediate need to confront displacement due to the privatization of profits from public investments in transit.

The Toronto Non-profit Network represents over 400 nonprofit organizations in Toronto, and is dedicated to creating thriving spaces for nonprofits and communities.

2022

Black Futures on Eglinton, an arts-based community cultural mapping study led by CP Planning, engaged youth in exploring Black culture and confronting anti-Black racism. Focusing on Castlefield-Rogers and Allen-Keele areas, this project unveiled the ongoing displacement of Black communities and empowered them to define their approach to preserving and enhancing community culture.

Through partnership with over 11 community partners across Toronto, this project was Ontario's first to intentionally integrate a human rights-based approach to urban planning. Through 'Housing in Focus', we co-designed and implemented consultations to capture diverse neighborhood perspectives on housing development. This groundbreaking project revealed stark contrasts between outcomes from human rights-based processes and conventional planning.
