The Tenant Solidarity Project is a partnership between CP Planning and the Oakwood Vaughan Community Organization (OVCO). Led by OVCO, supported by CP Planning.
As part of community engagements during the Black Futures on Eglinton, Community in Public and the Oakwood Vaughan Community Organization partnered to design and now implement the Tenant Solidarity program. This program integrates tenant organizing with public education and planning processes that support the community of tenants, homeowners, and unhoused persons collaborate to promote the protection and production of affordable housing within the Oakwood-Vaughan and Eglinton area. We are raising $50,000 to launch the Black Futures Community Development Fund. Every dollar donated to this fund is invested in creating the next generations of leaders building solutions for Black people to have increase rates of home ownership and housing security.
