The Tenant Solidarity Project is a partnership between CP Planning and the Oakwood Vaughan Community Organization (OVCO). Led by OVCO, supported by CP Planning.
The Tenant Solidarity Project (TSP) was delivered 2021 and 2023, following community feedback and engagement during our delivery of the Black Futures on Eglinton project. The TSP supported community leadership in the planning of affordable housing, and the establishment of the Oakwood Vaughan Tenant Union (resident-led union of building specific tenant associations) and the OV Community Plan. By integrating tenant organizing with public education and planning processes that support the community of tenants, this project built the capacity for the community to be ongoing active contributors to the protection and production of affordable housing within the Oakwood-Vaughan and Eglinton area of Little Jamaica.

A Planning Backgrounder was prepared by CP Planning for the Oakwood Vaughan Community Organization, to assist their members in understanding local planning contexts.
