This year’s Summit, our most participatory yet, welcomed over 80 leaders from the GTHA. Developers, government and philanthropic leaders, and community organizers alike.
Findings from the workshop are being used to inform next step strategies. Thank you to all who volunteered to provide feedback before our report back later this year! From our 2024 Roadmap efforts, we’ve learned this: community already has the workforce to build a better Canada- Canada just needs to fund them. Grassroots planners, non-profit developers, and social innovators are already advancing inclusive redevelopment, yet face stark funding deficits.
Participant feedback at the Resident Summit is helping to chart the pathway to decent work, fair wages, and ethical jobs in the Equitable Land Use Planning Economy.

The 2024 Resident Summit was held at the Centre for Social Innovation on May 27, 2024, bringing together over 60 community organizers, non-profit leaders, and housing advocates to share knowledge and begin ecosystem mapping to strengthen solutions for affordable housing and anti-displacement efforts.

The 2023 Resident Summit, was hosted in CP Planning's office in Little Jamaica, Toronto, on April 26, 2023. The Summit brought together over 40 community residents, non-profit leaders, and government officials from across Toronto, Peel, Hamilton, and Ottawa to address pressing housing issues and develop actionable solutions.
